No displayThe PC powers on but the monitor stays black, or the card isn't detected at all. This is the fault we see most, and it is usually repairable.→Fans spin, no displayThe fans start and the lights come on, so the card looks alive — but the screen stays black. Spinning fans only tell you part of the card is getting power.→Artifacts & glitchesColoured dots, lines, checkerboard patterns or flickering — on the desktop, or only in games. Artifacts usually point to the card's memory or the area around the core.→Crashes & black screensThe screen goes black in the middle of a game, the driver keeps crashing, or the whole PC restarts under load. It can be the graphic card — or something else in the PC.→Burnt or shortedA burning smell, a pop, a visible burn mark — or the PC refuses to power on while the card is installed. Stop using it, and don't keep plugging it back in.→HDMI / DP portOne port stopped working, the connector is loose, or the cable got yanked and bent the port. A damaged port can be replaced without replacing the card.→Overheating & cleaningThe card runs hot, the fans are loud, and performance drops in games. After a few years, dust and dried thermal paste are the usual reasons.→

Most graphic card faults sit on the board: a shorted power stage, a failed component around the core or memory, a damaged connector. We trace the fault with the card on the bench, and our BGA rework station lets us do chip-level work in-house.
